Manterrupt is the latest feministic jargon causing a buzz online to describe women’s woes at work — it refers to the needless interruption of a woman by a man. Findings from a recent writeup state that when women in power vocalise their thoughts at meetings, they are often interrupted by their colleagues, mostly males.

This leads to women choosing to keep quiet under such circumstances to prevent negativity.

One of the most public incident being cited as a case of manterruption is of Kanye West grabbing the microphone from Taylor Swift, when she went to accept the award for best female video. “I’m gonna let you finish,” he cut off her speech short, adding, “But Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!”
